This is the core advantage of lithium batteries. Their higher initial purchase cost is offset by their long service life and extremely low maintenance requirements.
Extremely long cycle life:
Lithium batteries: Cycle life is typically 3,000 to 5,000 cycles or even higher (charged and discharged to 80% capacity).
Lead-acid batteries: Cycle life is typically only 500 to 1,500 cycles.
This means: A single lithium battery has the equivalent lifespan of 2-3 battery packs of lead-acid batteries. In the long run, there's no need for frequent battery replacement, and the annual amortization cost is much lower than that of lead-acid batteries.
Ultra-high energy efficiency:
Lithium batteries: High charging efficiency, with energy conversion efficiency exceeding 95%, allows almost all energy to be used in charging and discharging.
Lead-acid batteries: Low charging efficiency, significant heat generation and gassing, and energy efficiency of only 70% to 85%.
This means: Lithium batteries are more energy-efficient, with less energy wasted during charging. Virtually zero maintenance:
Lithium batteries: Fully sealed, maintenance-free. Users are not required or permitted to perform any maintenance. Lead-acid batteries (flooded): Regularly adding distilled water, measuring specific gravity, and performing equalization charging prevent battery sulfation and failure. This is not only time-consuming and labor-intensive, but also poses corrosion and safety risks.

Lead-acid batteries: Must be fully charged before use. Otherwise, sulfation is likely to occur, resulting in permanent capacity loss. A full charge typically takes 8-10 hours, plus cooling time.
Fast Charging:
Lithium batteries: Fast charging takes only 1-3 hours, or even faster. No dedicated charging room is required. Lead-acid batteries: Standard charging takes 8-10 hours, while fast charging takes 4-6 hours and significantly shortens battery life. Constant Power Output Throughout the Journey:
Lithium Batteries: The discharge voltage platform is very stable, maintaining full power output regardless of remaining charge until depleted. Vehicle and lifting speeds do not decrease as the charge level decreases.
Lead-acid Batteries: The voltage decreases linearly with discharge, significantly slowing equipment operation when the charge level is low, affecting work efficiency.

Modern lithium iron phosphate batteries offer extremely high thermal stability, are resistant to overcharge and puncture, and are less prone to fire or explosion.
